Basin Lake Theatre Project is proud to present the premier performance of The Fence, a new work by musician, actor and playwright Ered Matthew. The play is directed by Julie Chavez Harrington, and the company is composed of some of the Prescott area’s most talented actors. The Fence tells the story of the spontaneous memorial that appeared following the loss of nineteen members of the Granite Mountain Interagency Hotshot Crew on June 30, 2013. The play presents the stories behind some of the 9000 items that were left in tribute and the 3000 letters of condolence sent to Prescott from around the world. It tells of the vast community response and explores the personal “fences” many of us must face and overcome in our daily lives.
